Today’s Saturday class did science experiments! What do you get when you mix orange juice, dish soap and baking soda?????? FUNKY FOAM!! If you add a little red coloring you get pink FUNKY FOAM!! We learned about changes and by just adding a bit of magic powder(baking soda) many different things can happen!

At A Plus we have a map that is upside down. Most of the maps that I have seen in the United States have the United States in the center and the rest of the world around it. The maps that I have seen in Japan, have Japan in the center. This map………..Australia is in the center??? The rest of the world is upside down!!! Uhh…..to Australians, it might be right side up though

アメリカでみた地図は大体アメリカが中心で、日本でみた地図は大体日本が中心です。
この地図は、オーストラリアが中心なので、日本やアメリカやヨーロッパはさかさまになっています。

This past Saturday, our kinder class made lunch for their Mommies, Daddies and Grandma! They also made lunch for the teachers and our elementary school class! They did a great job making the delicious lunch and we look forward to doing this again! While the kinder class was making lunch, the elementary school class was doing a science class with a microscope! I wonder what wonderous things they saw!

先生たちと小学生クラスの分も頑張って作ってくれました！
美味しいランチを作ってくれたので、またやりたいです！
キンダークラスがランチを作っている間に小学生クラスが顕微鏡を使って色々な不思議なもの発見しましたよ！
土曜日って楽しい！
I made my first crane out of origami!!! I am usually all thumbs when it comes to crafts but one of my students is an expert at origami and she taught me how to fold a paper crane!! I have tried making cranes before but this is the first time I actually succeeded in making one!! Thank you!!

Today was Nobuko-sensei’s and Shelley-sensei’s last day at A Plus. It is a sad day for A Plus but we wish Nobuko-sensei and Shelley-sensei the best of luck in the future! We would also like to welcome back……Keiko-sensei!! Let’s all have fun at A Plus!!
